I first felt the spark of imagination and creativity through filmmaking as a 12 year-old kid making videos with my older brother on Sundays. I pursued that spark in high school through sports highlights—some of that high energy editing still shows up in my work today.

While studying film at Brigham Young University, I worked on short films, commercials, and documentaries—shooting everything from digital to 16mm and Super 8mm film. During college I spent 3 years working at a production studio getting hands-on experience with lighting, directing, editing, and countless hours behind the camera—and that spark of imagination has only grown over the years I’ve spent learning and practicing.

I was drawn to wedding filmmaking because of the joy and love I felt on my own wedding day! God blessed me with Penny, my amazing wife, and she has turned my world from black and white to technicolor. Every time I film a wedding I am reminded of our special day; getting to capture those experiences and emotions for other couples is an honor, and I give my all to capture those feelings.
